Introduction
First introduced in 2018, Jotform Digest Emails allows users to receive a summary of their form submissions at chosen intervals—daily, weekly, or monthly. While form notifications provided real-time updates, frequent submissions often led to notification overload, making it difficult for users to track their data efficiently.
The goal was to reduce notification fatigue while keeping users informed by delivering concise, well-structured summaries. Responsible for the UX, UI, and interaction design, designed Digest Emails to ensure users could personalize their summaries by selecting specific forms, fields, and even adding charts for better data visualization.
Challenges
• How might users avoid feeling overwhelmed by frequent form notifications?
• How might submission data be summarized in a clear and actionable format?
• How might digest emails be customizable to fit different user needs?
Create Digest Email Flow

Solution & Design Process
Designed Digest Emails as a structured summary of form submissions, allowing users to stay updated without excessive notifications. Key design decisions included:
• Flexible scheduling with daily, weekly, or monthly digest options.
• Multi-form support to consolidate data into a single email.
• A scannable layout highlighting key trends and metrics.
• Customization options for selecting forms, fields, charts, and subject lines.
• Recipient management with limits based on the user’s plan.
Throughout the design process, focused on making digest emails concise, visually clear, and easy to configure, ensuring they provided value without overwhelming users.
